Teeth whitening is an aesthetic procedure performed to whiten discoloured teeth and is usually done in 2 methods. 

Take-home whitening—> Customised trays are fabricated to be used along side with whitening gels that will be included in the kit. You would have to apply the gel for at least 30 minutes each day depending on the concentration of the whitening gel.

Results are usually seen within 1-2 weeks. 

In-office whitening—> Whitening is performed chair-side using Phillips zoom whitening system under the care of our dentists. The entire process would take about an hour and results are immediate. 

When should you consider whitening?

Discoloured teeth due to your diet, smoking, certain medications 

Developmental anomalies that cause white/ brown lines and patches on your teeth

The initial consultation will include a comprehensive examination to ensure that your teeth and gums are suited for the whitening procedure 

A thorough scaling and polishing would be performed to remove any plaque, tartar and superficial stains 

Our dentist can then assess to see which whitening option would be better for you

How long would the whitening results last?

Depending on a multitude of factors (such as your personal oral hygiene, dietary intake, smoking, severity of discolouration) We would expect the result to last for at least 6 months
